It's strange, isn't it about magic downloads.. You would think they should be cheaper because they can just be copied instantly, but it's often not the production process that costs the most, it's the long term storage and the bandwidth to constantly deliver the video to the customers on demand.
For large video files, the download version can be WAY more expensive due to costs. A DVD with it's case and cover costs around 50p to manufacturer. Where as a download costs nothing to duplicate, but a great deal to store on a secure server, stream professionally to you on demand, and keep updated and backed up for life.
For companies selling large scale, good quality/fast magic downloads and streaming services are much more expensive than shipping physical products just once to a customer, Physical products have the no backup commitment to the customers for their whole lifetime.
